There is no need for a slash pairing to happen just because many others didn't and it caused a lot of butthurt-ism. If I shipped a slash pairing that did not happen where I wanted it and Sterek happened instead, I would not feel better, I'd feel worse.
Because it's not the mighty revenge of the denied slash of the past.
It's a lot of people's OTP going canon. It is not mine. It's not that of a lot of other people either.
And if that is the case, why Sterek and not Morgan/Reid from Criminal Minds? Why not Wes/Travis from Common Law? Why not Destiel? Why not John/Sherlock?
Claiming that one of many needs to happen because the other many didn't is utter bullcrap.

Those pairings should all happen.

I personally want my lgbt characters in most, if not all, shows I watch but unfortunately Teen Wolf is the closest I have to hope at the moment.
