I'm just going to say that I'm digging all the Community secrets lately. Not that there's like this giant pool of them or anything, but it's nice.

But yeah, Pierce is very much a person I'd auto hate irl.

and half the show is spent dealing with the fact that pierce feels left out and mocked by the rest of the study group, so the show isn't completely unconscious of this.

I don't know. I think they gave Pierce plenty of chances but he just persisted in being awful, even when he *knew* that he was being awful and pissing everyone off. I have a hard time feeling sorry for him.

I have to say that it really pissed me off, at the beginning of Season 3, when everyone was like "Oh! We have to give Pierce so many fucking chances to get back in the good graces of the group! Oh, shit, Jeff did something that was arguably not even as bad as shit that Pierce was doing? OUT OF THE GROUP IMMEDIATELY, no forgiveness."

If anything, yeah, they almost gave Pierce too many chances, because he was an unrepentant dick who they kept forgiving and trying to include. And he just kept doing it even if he knew what he was doing. So, basically, Pierce is Chevy Chase.

After the way he behaved towards that roleplaying kid that was pretty obviously suicidal, I'm having a really hard time feeling sorry for him in any way. That was really just crossing the last line (though I may just be a bit over-sensitive about that).
