all the 'friends' I've made on friending memes never actually talked to me. I ended up feeling really awkward and removing them after making a few feeble attempts...so yeah, I don't do them anymore.

Oh man that's me to a T. Me being that person who will friend or be friended on memes, but never actually talk to the people from them. Unless we run into eachother often enough on places outside of our journals, I get so crazy shy about re-approaching them because we might not even had had a conversation outside of the friending meme before.

Wank threads don't usually give you the specific information you require in order to not form friendships, like "this person hates fluffy kittens" or "thinks Olive Garden is classy".

Me either. I did have a couple people add me last time, and they were all lovely people with cool interests, but it seems that I am too damn lazy to update a journal anymore.

I tried for a bit but it didn't work out; I would never remember to check my flist, and when I did my friends would usually talk about fandoms I wasn't in, so I had some difficulty thinking of anything to say. While I'd love more friends, I feel I'd probably end up ignoring them and then feel like an asshat, so...idk. *sighhhhhh*

Also AssCreed 3 and Halo 4 are coming up, and right now I'm replaying the Halo games so...I probably won't be around much at all anyway.

We can be friendless together, I guess.

I know what you mean. I'd love to have some online friends, but if you look at my DW...I've got nothing. I don't really know what I would say in my journal posts, so I don't have any :( Sad.

My journal only has a couple of entires, so I'm not much better. Even those didn't come easily.

Which is weird because years ago I was pretty regular about updating and commenting on things, but since then...pfft, nope. I love when something I like gets a secret so I can comment on it and possibly discuss it with other fans, but writing out journal entries is hard work, yo.

Do you have trouble commenting on a flist? Because even if you don't update your journal, if you wanted you could try commenting on someone else's (who you have similar interests with). That's usually easier.

aww. =[ I think that's probably happened to me a few times too! maybe you just have to try it the other way around? read other people's posts and then ask to be friends if you like the sound of them. they might not comment on your post but you could still find some agreeable people =]
