I sat in shock when I read the responses to that post about the girl being bullied for wearing a Romney shirt. Some were saying that she wasn't bullied, that she shouldn't be wearing a political (read Romney) shirt, and the ever present "White Tears"

But you know that if the girl was wearing an Obama shirt, it would be pages and pages of outrage.

Eh, ymmv. I think tumblr is waaaaaaay fuckin worse. Things get passed off there as gospel that would not fly on ontd_lok. Though yeah, they are ultimately a watered-down version of tumblr lok fans.

Not every one, people should check out ONTD_Creepy, one of my fave comms on LJ, especially around halloween time. Don't let the crazy ONTD comms put you off the good ones that have nothing to do with SJWs.

ONTD_creepy is awesome! And yeah, it somehow manages to escape the general horribleness of a lot of the ONTD comms. I've also found some of the more specific fandom ONTD comms are tolerable.

Awesome comm is awesome. And people there are weirdly good at keeping the vicious hate off the comm. Downton fandom is unexpectedly toxic, but the ontd comm is a pretty good neutral zone.
