Personally, I love ONTD because it's very diverse. You've got your regular assholes but then there are also some of the sweetest people on Earth. And to be fair, it's been like that for years. IMO nothing's changed during the time I've followed ONTD.

Also, keeping company. No matter what hour, there are people there you can talk to.

The trick is to find like-minded people and learn to choose your battles. I've been jumped at by a few SJWs there (relax, it happens to everyone), but it never escalated into anything worse.
And yeah, it's just a silly gossip community, so don't take it so seriously.

I guess my main problem with it is I rarely feel comfortable enough to comment, so I never find people to make friends with. The famous people I like tend to get horribly bashed there, so their posts just turn into a load of wank (I'm a Sherlock fan). Even Game of Thrones posts aren't fun anymore.

Ive actually been a member of ONTD since shortly after it started and I have never felt comfortable enough there to make friends. When I do tend to make a comment, it's usually ignored which is fine. Most of them hate what I like, and I am not a Britney Stan like they all seem like.

Sherlock/Cumberbatch posts are the worst. They treat the show and Cumberbatch himself like he's the devil incarnate and he's personally abused every single person there. And why? Because they don't think he's attractive. It's disgusting and vile and I refuse to go into those posts at all now. And then those same assholes will turn around and be all "omg how dare you judge someone by their looks??!??!?!1/" Ugh, vomit.
