Hey it's ok. My fandom activities are mostly solitary too. I didn't talk about this stuff for years until I found out some of my friends are into it. I actually think sometimes it's best if you don't meet too many of the ultra hardcore fans. It's kind of embarrassing and ruins fandom for me. As people are fond of saying, your mileage may vary so if you really want you can try to find other people with similar interests at conventions. Honestly though, the best people I've found to talk to about fandom were friends I shared other interests with.
