You're right - although I don't think it extends to women directors in general. I mean, look at 'The Hurt Locker'.

Thea Sharrock is just plain crap and can't direct, or even understand the text properly. I'd love to force all future Shakespeare directors to write a bog-standard A-Level essay on their text before starting :D

Even my brother, who is almost anti-art, noticed it. I showed him chunks of all the plays and he noticed straight away that R2 had a colour palette and an overall point and that the others were just muddled. He also pointed out that the battle in H5 was totally illogical and would end up with the cavalry being hit by their own arrows.
