I only buy the music if I really fucking like it. Otherwise, I'll wait till it comes on the radio again or YouTube it. With YouTube, the bands get to see how many people are actually watching their official videos, so it's not like it's stealing money from them.

TL;DR: If it's not amazing, no, I'm not going to waste my money.

Watching things on YouTube, unless you're specifically seeking out non-official channels, is financially supporting the artists. You're definitely not talking about the same thing the OP is, I don't think.

I think she was more talking about the people who "love" a band and have all their albums, that they listen to all the time... And got off of TPB or whatever.
