I totally agree. There are lots of ways of organizing this, a levy on internet services to cover DL'ed content (everyone pays) actually buying music (consumer pays) a levy o Dl'ed content at the end of the month, I don't think we necessarily have to organise it in the traditional 'watch telly' or 'buy CD' model. But it's not beyond the pale to ask people to pay for something they enjoy. There are plenty of opportunities to sample music before purchase to you know you won't be getting a dog. But it's massively uncool to spend money on everything you love except art. What is wrong with people? And please, most fandom bands aren't living in mansions. You aren't taking another gold watch off Jon Bon Jovi here.
