tbh I've always felt sort of the same way. I'm indifferent on spoilers because knowing that Character X is going to die and actually seeing it play out are two different things. Like, I'd already seen my friend beat Final Fantasy X by the time I played it, but I still cried my eyes out over the ending even knowing what was going to happen. A well-written story should still be able to have an impact on you even if you know how it ends.
