I disagree. I'm (finally) playing through FFVII, and even though I'm enjoying it a ton, I have these moments of "damn, I wish I hadn't known this was coming, because it would have been so epic to have been surprised by it".

Or, for example, my friend who watched the Star Wars movies in chronological order, and didn't know that Anakin becomes Darth Vader. Of course that's not a spoiler, but imagine how crazy it would be if you didn't know it was coming?

So yes, I will actively try to avoid spoilers (but that means actively trying to avoid, staying out of comms and news and stuff).
