Buying MP3s

I know I'm late (time differences) but I hope someone can see this: I would really want to start buying mp3s from the internet but I just don't know where. I obviously know the existene of itunes but I have no Apple products and I'm under the impression that you have to have those if you want to be able to listen music from itunes? So where else can I find music?

And for some referene: I don't live in US/North America and I mostly listen to Asian music (but a little bit of Western music too!)

Help a nonny out? :(

iTunes can be played straight from your computer, that's half its function as far as I'm concerned. The store doesn't always have obscure things, but you can import music that you already have to the iTunes library. You can also burn CDs from iTunes, I did that a lot before I had transportation with iPod docking capabilities.

This is from someone in the US, I don't know if there are any weird international restrictions on it, but the program itself is free so hopefully you can find something!

I guess I will try itunes then. I also listen to music a lot on my phone (android) so we'll see if it works there. Still, even if I can only make songs from itunes work on my computer and have to dl the rest, I can have a bit better conscious!

Amazon.com sells a lot of music! I use the gift cards I earn on Swagbucks when I want a new song. :D
