This secret is stupid. I mean, how can you not understand something like this?
For example, I'm reading a novel about a crime. Pretty much everything revolves around solving who did that crime. I get invested in the book, try to guess the murdered myself... and then some jackass comes and ruins the surprise by saying: "Oh Jim was the murdered. And the main character dies btw."
That ruins a BIG part of the emotional investment I could have had when I actually reach that part in the book myself. It's a basic rule of drama. You build up your story. You develope your characters. When it all gets told beforehand it's not the same. If you don't understand that then I'm not gonna bother to try to explain.
