This secret made me realize I have yet to meet someone who hates Donna.

I kinda wanna keep it that way. (But now I feel like a bad person for thinking that.)

I've met only one person who hates Donna-- and he said it was mostly due to her aggressive attitude. That's where he and I differ-- I loved her for just how aggressive she could be.

I liked her because of that too. I found it refreshing.

See, whenever someone says they don't like an agressive woman I kinda have to pause and think about it for a moment. I have to ask them if they don't like agressive men too. If they don't like them then I'm fine but if they do I have to wonder if it really is the character or if it's a gender bias. I can understand it being the character. Not everyone sees or interprets or enjoys the same characters and that's okay. In fact, that's great.

I just get a niggling of doubt sometimes. It's actually kind of irritating. I'd much rather just take people at their word.

I know absolutely what you mean. I actually took it upon myself to revisit this topic with him last night and asked him the same of a male character. He said he just doesn't like aggressive people in general-- and he was more partial to Martha; someone who could do a lot for others, want something in return, but be comfortable shrugging it off and doing her own thing to better herself.

And that's respectable... Except Donna is still pretty much amazing and went through some great development in such a short amount of time.

Now, see I get that. I agree with you. He just has personality types he likes more. Martha is a great character and strong in her own way. I admire her. If he likes Martha more that's fine in my book.

Yeah, I honestly wish we got more of Donna. She did so much in so little time. I can only imagine what the rest of her growth would have been like.
