Yea, imo there have been enough companions in love with the Doctor, and she was a wonderful change of pace.

And how she'd call Ten out on stuff and didn't put up with his shit and slapped him upside the head and gave him hugs and was wonderfully platonic with him.

Yes! She was so damn feisty and strong and I just adore her. I wasn't sure about her at first either, but she quickly won me over. Donna is my favorite and I miss her constantly.

As for Tate...I think she's gorgeous. I hope I look half that good at her age. (Hell, imo I don't look half that good now, so hell yea I do.)
