Re: It's like no one actually ever saw the Disney films

It's not one of the "classic" Disney films, but something that bothers me is when people call Enchanted anti-feminist because Nancy chooses to go off and marry the prince. Meanwhile, they completely ignore the fact that Giselle rejected being a princess and chose to, among other things, start her own goddamn business.

Bullshit! Not only did Giselle choose to leave her princessy life, Nancy chose to go off with the prince in fairy-tale land because it was what she wanted. Feminism isn't about looking down on people who want to be stay-at-home parents or housewives/househusbands, but about choosing it for yourself instead of having the role forced upon you with few to no other options. Bad feminists! No cookie!
