No, seriously, it is.
That woman (Riley I think her name is?) with Arkh Project has made a career out of screaming invective at anyone and everyone who says something that mildly annoys her, and her friend genderbitch likes to threaten to beat people to death if they say something s/he dislikes. It's gotten to the point where you can say something as innocuous as "I prefer X to Y," with X and Y being something as stupid as type of takeout, and these wastes of carbon go from 0 to 10 in a couple nanoseconds. They've gotten to the point where they post people's personal information (in one case social security number) online over a stupid Internet argument.
It's kind of... well, no, it's not kind of. It's absolutely bugfuck crazy. And it's just going to get worse, because the more rabid the SJWs get, the more rabid the opposition is going to get, and the rabidness (is that a word?) spreads to the general Internet using population. It's like it was a few years ago with 4chan memes spreading like wildfire, or herpes.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-17 12:25 am (UTC)(link)That being said, Riley is a bully and a vile person, and kind of the embodiment of everything wrong with the community of people online who call themselves part of the social justice movement and, honestly, know nothing about it. They basically just use it as an excuse to scream and be an asshole to people who disagree with them, which gives actual social justice a bad name.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-17 02:19 am (UTC)(link)Thanks for not telling original anon to die for her mistake and instead being all nice and polite about it. :D

(Anonymous) 2012-10-17 12:28 am (UTC)(link)Even if they're a bully, I still should use the right pronoun.

Seriously though, this is why I'm kind of scared of the SJWs. Maybe it's because the worst thing I've ever said to another person (online or IRL) is that they deserve to get a good slap across their face. And I was in my RAGE mode when that happened, so my brain just can't process why someone would think that spreading things like someone's address or phone number online is cool. I don't care how fucked up or heinous the other person may be, you just don't do shit like that to anyone.

But occasionally you'll get someone who knows what they're doing. That's how that one guy's social got posted.
Personally, MOST of the SJWs aren't a threat, at least in my opinion as an IT professional. They're a load of hot air, along the lines of "I HAVE BACKTRACED YOUR INTERNETS!" There are some that worry me, but the vast majority has no idea what they're doing when it comes to that sort of thing.
But that's just my $0.02.

There's many things you can blame SJWs for, but this isn't one of them.
