You know, you can do both. I was still actively involved in fandom when I had a de facto.

Sex is natural, sex is good (not everybody does it, but everybody should! ::G::) but don't make the mistake of thinking that just because you're sexually active it makes you too 'cool' for fandom anymore. Lots of people in fandom have a lot of sex, we just don't advertise it.

I think they meant that the more of their real relationship they had, the less they were genuinely interested in fandom, not that they were 'too cool'. sex doesn't make you cool but it sure is more interesting than internets to me! heheh..

I hope that's what they meant, because I know when you're in the flush of a new relationship, everything else takes a back seat.

Unfortunatley, I've known a few late bloomers that 'discovered' sex and suddenly decided they were too 'cool' for fandom and spent their weekends trolling for one night stands. There's nothing wrong with one nighters, but these people were doing it for the wrong reasons - ie, I am having sex, therefore I am cool :/
