Honestly, I LOVE One Piece's art. And this is coming from someone who, yeah, is pretty shallow sometimes in regards to manga art. I used to hate it. But after reading it for so long I think it's fun and fluid and vibrant, and I love looking at it.
Also, the plot is just...fantastic. Which is the important part. I guess what I'm trying to say is give it a try! Of course, duh, easy for me to say, but it IS worth it. And the art does grow on you.

Also, that bit about the fans? Seriously? That doesn't make any sense. Frankly, it sounds like projection. I understand it can be hard to comprehend why people like things you don't like, but come the fuck on. One Piece has 67 volumes and 568 episodes. No human being is going to power through all that unless they like it.

This! It really sounds like the usuall "Stop liking what I don't like!" Yeah, I have read these 67 volumes of manga just because I don't want to feel shallow. I totally don't care about the characters, the plot, the art. Of course not. I think it's all shit but I still read it. Totally. -_-
