Interestingly, I have yet to see this opinion expressed by someone who isn't a BBC-Sherlock fan. Coincidence? I think not.

Lucy Liu is perfect as Watson. Haters gonna hate.

I was trying for a whole benefit of the doubt thing but then I remembered this. So yeah.

I'd say it's coincidence in my case. I'd just like a female Sherlock.

Read "Baker Street", a punk noir comic from the 80s. Female Watson and female Sherlock, and great art. And it's nominated for Yuletide this year, yay!

I'm a fan of both Sherlock and Elementary because I'm a fan of Sherlock Holmes.

I would love to see an adaptation with a female Holmes. And there's part of me that still sort of wishes they would have done it with Elementary. However, I like how the show is shaping up, and I think Lucy Liu is a great Watson. (-:

Basically all of this, yeah. I want a female Sherlock, but in the event that that doesn't happen Lucy Liu is still amazing as Watson.
I also tend to judge Holmes adaptations by the quality of the Watson and not the Holmes, anyway.

Well, you've seen it now. I am not a fan of BBC Sherlock, and I still think that would have been a better idea.

I'm not a BBC Sherlock fan. I want a female Holmes. Hello.

Yeah, sideeying hard, here.

...and stupidly. There are people who don't support either show, oddly enough.
