Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-17 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)Ever run into this anyone? What did it end up being for you?
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-17 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)Go see a doctor if it the loss of apetite goes on any further. It might be a symptom of something more serious.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 12:12 am (UTC)(link)For me, that turned out to be anaemia. Can't remember if it affected my appetite, though.
You might want to go to a doctor to see if they can tell you what it might be, though.
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 12:57 am (UTC)(link)I've actually been nodding off in places I never have before. Standing on the street waiting for a bus. Inside the bus. Listening to someone talk to me.
A few weeks ago I got some blood tests done, but they said my CBC was normal... :(
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 01:51 am (UTC)(link)Have you specifically been to a sleep doctor at all? Are there any in your area that you could check out? Also, has anything about your sleep cycle changed recently? Have you been having trouble sleeping?
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 02:28 am (UTC)(link)Nah, I've been sleeping longer and deeper than I have before. For the past few days I've been sleeping about 9 hours, plus a few naps, when I'm used to getting about 6 or 7. I'm coming off of a bad cold or maybe the flu, and all I have left are some bad muscle aches. Maybe my body is still recovering.
Sometimes this kind of thing happens, every few months. But it hasn't been this bad for almost a year.
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 03:08 am (UTC)(link)I'd wait a few days and see whether or not it goes away. If it doesn't, get to the doctor.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 02:29 am (UTC)(link)Nope, I'm a virgin.
Re: Tired, no appetite
I'm trying to think of other things that might make you so exhausted, but I'm coming up blank. I hope you feel better soon, Nonnie!
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 01:49 am (UTC)(link)I'm not sure what it was, because one day, I woke up and felt hungry again. It might have been exhaustion; it might have been hormones; it might have been aliens. I have no clue. All I know is that I started having my regular appetite again before I'd reached the point where a doctor's appointment really would have seemed necessary.
In your case, I would try to get some more sleep, and see if that helps. If in two weeks you're still not feeling hungry, make an appointment with your primary care physician.
My overall message is: it's not that strange; it can happen. But don't hesitate to seek professional advise if it goes on for too long.
Re: Tired, no appetite
That's what I've been going through, somewhat. I started school again in August, going more days and for longer than I have in the past. About a month and a half into the semester, not getting enough sleep started catching up with me.
The fact that you say you're getting over an illness may be a big part of it. You might be recovering still.
If it continues, I'd definitely see about going to a doctor, though.
Re: Tired, no appetite
(Anonymous) 2012-10-18 04:57 am (UTC)(link)Actually, this has been the most rest and the least physical activity I've had in 6 months. I had a very labor intensive job til I started school in August. But for the past month or so, I've been getting about 7 or 8 hours sleep. When I got sick, I slept for 9-11 hours, but now I've knocked it back to 8 or 9 hours.
I guess it's not just being tired, it's being exhausted by doing stuff. I went to my 3-hour course of the day, and immediately fell into bed after I got back.
And I've lost weight. 7 lbs from 5 days ago. :/
