Sometimes I feel the urge to watch this show and then write crazy amounts of Derek/Scott. I'm pretty sure that it's the only pairing that would interest me, but I get the feeling it's also the pairing best designed to piss off most people in fandom...

The fandom is actually more multi-pairing friendly than you might imagine at first glance. Sure you won't be a BNF with that pairing, but I personally think it is a pairing that makes sense and I would certainly read it.

i can promise you, there is a good sized chunk of derek/scott fans on tumblr and we would love to read your fic!!! we are known as the 'dark side' of fandom but don't let anyone tell you we aren't nice lol. write and join us and be fannish :D

Do it! The Derek/Scott fanbase is kind of small, but we'd love the hell out of your fics. Besides, the actual show has plenty of scenes between them so there'll be plenty of inspiration.

I would kill for more Derek/Scott! Honestly, I think Derek has more UST with Scott or Jackson than he does with Stiles.

I'd say it's definitely worth a watch, especially if you're a fan of genre shows! It's not perfectly written, but I went into it with VERY low expectations and assumed I'd probably fail out after an episode or so, and then ended up watching the entire first season in a day. Lol. There are some missteps and pacing issues and plotholes (trying to figure out their exact timeline gives me a headache), but the characters are really, really strong and the setting is interesting. And the plot overall is pretty compelling, even with the weaknesses.

You can basically ship anyone with anyone, too. There aren't a ton of fanworks for things that aren't Sterek, but they're slowly gaining speed.
And there are some good Sterek fanworks out there, too. They're not my main ship, and the way they're portrayed in the majority of fanon confuses the hell out of me, but they do have an interesting dynamic. It's just that Derek is constantly trying to get Scott to join his pack and menacing Jackson while he's half-naked, so he definitely has a lot more canon UST with them than with Stiles IMO.
