Am I the only one who always thinks that the "I'm attracted to Transformers" secrets are always the same person? I know it's probably not true, but I can't wrap my mind around more than one person feeling this way.

How would sex even happen? Genuine curiosity.

There have been actual, honest-to-goodness flamewars concerning whether Transformers shag each other with humanlike genitalia or machine parts or not at all. I'm not even joking.

We have too much time on our hands.

The TF fandom has some strange wank. Intercourse, sexuality (that's not strange wank, I just find the way it presents during the arguments to be somewhat, um, unique), whether Costa deserves to die a fiery death*, etc.

Yep. I find it sad and hilarious, and it's my main fandom. :\

I bet you could sit on top of one while they vibrate like a washing machine. That sounds pretty fun to me.

Meh. I'll take Jazz, Blurr, Jetfire or Axe over any Decepticon, any day.

The fact that I have crushes on four giant robots (two of which are pretty giant even by Cybertronian standards) is a bit confusing to me, though!

Okay, now I'm curious, not knowing nearly as much about SG as I should (and too lazy to open a new tab apparently!). Is SG Drift an ex-Decepticon, as his counterpart is? If so, how's that work? "I used to be a hippie and then I discovered ~~BLOOD AND GUTS~~ ENERGON AND CABLES, WHEE YAY!"?

I have no idea, but apparently SG!Drift is the Transformers equivalent of Deadpool.

Yup! Exactly that. While snarking and being generally horrible. Basically instead of getting ahold of his anger and emotions, Shattered Glass Drift said "frag it" and let go of them.

He's cruel and sadistic and would fit in quite well with the IDW DJD.

Y'know, I'm sure I'm supposed to be interested in the DJD, but I never felt particularly interested in MTMTE. I can't take the acid-trip colors seriously, I don't like Rodimus at all, and the few quotes I've seen from the DJD seem pretty lackluster to me. I don't know. I feel like I should want to read it, but I can't seem to un-meh myself.

This is probably the most pathetic thing ever, but I have a harder time understanding the attraction to most antagonists than understanding the attraction to robots.

To me attraction to robots like Transformers or those out of the "Super AI" series of anime doesn't seem any stranger than anyone who is attracted to a person who isn't particularly physically compatible with them (hot girls in love with overweight boys that would break them, and vice versa; people who fall in love with paraplegic and quadriplegic individuals, etc) . Transformers are sentient, with individual personalities, and they feel emotion in ways that are similar enough to our own to be recognizable.

Bit odd? Perhaps. Pathetic/completely out of left field/totally shocking/unable to be understood? Not for me. I don't, however, at all understand sexual attraction to inanimate and/or non-thinking animate objects.
