Thief. The actual fandom is awful. And the third game, while unfairly maligned and a decent game in its own right, has technical and gameplay issues (partially a result of being a forerunner in the practice of multi-platform development and developed under the assumptions that console players were morons,) though said issues are mostly mitigated with a mod. That being said, it's a solid trilogy with fantastic atmosphere across all three games, plus hundreds of fan-made missions (mostly for 1 and 2) keep the spirit alive well after the last game came out.
