I shelled out a lot of money for a Sony VAIO and it's been good for running graphics programs like Painter and Photoshop and such, not sure about gaming capabilities but

Like... my car cost the same amount of money seriously

Oh yeah and the HDMI output, 1080p and USB3 jacks factored into buying it as well

Why did you shell out that much money for a laptop? You could have gotten a desktop for the same price that would have suited photoshop programs much better. Was it really necessary that it be portable?

She probably WAS looking for portability if she was buying a laptop.

Considering the programs she says she uses, though, why? Editing programs on the go seems unnecessary, and it's also pretty difficult.

OP

That's a real beauty (third-gen i7, umph), but for that kind of money, I'd definitely need high-end NVIDIA graphics and a bigger screen.
