So it's come to this

NEW OLYMPIC EVENT! COMPETITIVE DRINKING! FIND OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL WHO HAS THE HIGHEST TOLERANCE!

I can't imagine how they would pick an alcohol for everyone to drink, for fairness' sake. A lot of countries would vie for their favorites/national drinks.

(Stay edgy, anon. We think you're cool.)

we need to make this happen

Not as an event at the Olympics. This needs to be its own, separate competition. That way we can have different categories. Speed and endurance. Beer, different kinds of liquors. Special prizes for most entertaining drunks. Why does this not already exist why am I not watching this on tv RIGHT NOW

Competitive beer pong. Keg stands. Some sort of relay race that involves keeping a drink from spilling. Endurance runs where you have to take a knee and down a Smirnoff Ice every mile. Navigating a dark house while totally sloshed and not banging your knee on any obstacles.

Bartending competitions! Mixology contests ALONE could be its own show.

I would watch the hell out of that. Alcohol companies would be tripping over themselves to fund it.

Because alcohol poisoning and death is a real thing. The risks are too high. No company will sponsor it or support it.

Straight ethanol diluted to safe concentrations.

This is what I was thinking: if you're used to drinking Poitin, Everclear, Spirytus, or good, old-fashioned moonshine, you're going to drink a beer drinker under the table. That's not so much you being a greater drinker as you having an advantage, same as an athletes from higher altitudes.
