Heh, I'm the complete opposite. I rarely ship incest, especially off the bat, but this ship just hooked me. And it's not because of the "not blood related" part, either. They spent most of their lives thinking they are, that's incest enough for me, but they just... have this chemistry, I guess.

This was my exact reaction - I'd never cared much for incest pairings until this ship. And I think I like it because of the things other people hate about the pairing: Loki's hatred and bad treatment of Thor, the seemingly one-sided love between them, and so on. I like to see those difficult and angsty elements in relationships get resolved over time.

(Plus I have a pet theory about the Tesseract exacerbating Loki's anger toward Thor and driving his more despicable actions, which makes it easier to accept his behavior in Avengers and not have it work against the ship. But yeah.)
