As someone who has consistently been one of the young'uns in every fandom she has been in, I always found this "too old for fandom" sentiment confusing. Because fuck it, dude, I don't really ever expect to leave fandom! ;)

But seriously, why the age!hate? I never got it. Everyone from 12-120 has something to give to fandom (even if in some cases it's just fic so bad it's hilarious...*hides porn from preteen fandom days*).
