Hah, 50+ here, and I laugh at the kiddies (Newbies? Babies? Gleams in their parents' eyes?) going through their adolescent angsty crises, but I think they add a lot to any fandom: creativity, energy, naivety, stupidity, ADD etc.

In a word, a lot of what makes any fandom fun and sometimes quite irritating. Still, some of them are remarkably bright, literate and mature, so it's not as if youth is an excuse for behaving stupidly.

And yes, the way some of them go on about their ages, either proudly announcing they are only 15 -as if that was a title of glory, as opposed to a mod smack-down waiting to happen- or about how old they are getting!

I always find this type of post, tragically announcing 'OMG, I am old, OLD!' hilarious to watch and I think we should encourage the little darlings to keep providing the rest of us with free entertainment.
