7. I agree with everything you're saying, but it doesn't really change the facts of the matter. Six Apart aren't trying to police the Internet. They're trying to run a business. That being the case, it's really up to them what they do and don't allow their users to post using their service - and, sad though it is to admit it, it's much safer to piss off fangirls who'll simply go post elsewhere than to run the risk of being seen as a safe haven for child molestors. Like it or not, a significant proportion of their userbase are minors. Just as they have the right to run their business however they want, you have the right to give your custom to whoever you want. Don't like Livejournal? Take your business elsewhere.
