And then sudden angst and tragedy when Meg Ryan dies, and I refused to watch the rest of the movie since.

I know I shouldn't be a jerk about remakes but with this one I don't get anyone saying "Hey, let's do this one again, set it in Los Angeles, and change the ending!"
I still like the song "Iris" a lot though.

It's a pretty effective scene.
We start with her at home and Mom realizing something is very wrong, and end up in the hospital where she's on a table, obviously dying, and Mom is watching and going hysterical, and we pan to the child and Angel Nic as she watches her own death, looks at mom, and says "she doesn't understand."
It's pretty damn good for what it was, though I never saw the original.

But unfortunately since I know it's a remake I know I'd spend the whole time thinking about the original, which is probably my favorite movie ever. So... I'm too biased.
