Hi, fandomsecrets. I was wondering if you could help out a dumb lurker anon with a project? I have to do a survey on video game addiction for a class and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.

Yes, the questions are dumb, but I'm mostly bullshitting this anyway. I only have to write up a page-long report on the answers I get, so it didn't need to go too in-depth or anything.

I'm sure I won't get many answers from here though, so it'd be even more helpful if anyone could point me towards other places I could post it? Online game forums seem like the most obvious answer, but I can't help but think this kind of thing would be against the rules in most places. I don't have any followers on tumblr to spread this around either, so that's a no go.

The worst part is it's due on the 25th, so I have to have all the answers by the 24th so I can write up the report. ;_;

hey, question -- when you say online games do you mean just MMOs or does that include counterstrike/left4dead? 'cuz i avoid MMOs like the plague but play lots of L4D

I think my group's main focus is MMOs, but we've kind of broadened the topic to multiplayer games in general anyway to make things a bit easier. So Counterstrike and Laft4Dead are fine! We're looking more at what causes addiction and if it has something to do with playing with other people than the games themselves.

I'm mostly looking for the number of hours on average, but you're free to go into detail too if you'd like! The box is pretty small though, so if you could sum it up in a few sentences, that'd be great.
