So true, especially when you are dealing with random books/cds/dvds that may be imported and may be extremely expensive. I download things and when I get addicted enough, I figure it's time for me to own a hard copy.

This is why I think the entertainment industry needs to learn to work with pirating rather then be so adamant about being against it. There are even a lot of series that owe their international fanbase to pirating. Those fans do end up spending the money for the series when it is made available in their country.
