Why do I have a feeling that your "non-majority fandom opinion" is something less like "I ship X/Y instead of Y/Z" and more like "I think that when X raped/murdered/did-something-else-unacceptable that it was ok because s/he's really just a woobie and it's not his/her fault and WHY ARE YOU OPPRESSING ME?"

Not in Glee fandom, but I saw it happen in ATLA with people declaring Kataang and Maiko shippers closet misogynists, and I heard about it in Nu-Trek where everyone who doesn't ship Spock/Uhura is a racist, and everyone who doesn't ship Kirk/Spock is a homophobe.

and T&B, where if you don't ship Kotetsu and Barnaby you're a disgusting homophobic and can't see their "trrruuuuuu luv". And don't even dare in pointing out Kotetsu was married with a WOMAN.

This! Clearly anyone who doesn't think that shipping in of itself isn't SJW bait obviously hasn't been in many fandoms lately. Or has just had the incredible fortune to find ones that aren't full of crazy SJWs.

Just off the top of my head I can think of things like: "You don't ship this het/femslash pairing? DIAF MISOGYNIST!!" and "You don't ship this slash pairing? GTFO HOMOPHOBE!" or "you don't like this pairing that has a POC in it? OMG RACIST!!!" and so on, and so on...
