That's why I read books that make fun of the high fantasy tropes like 'Heroes, Inc', 'Heroics for Beginngers', or 'Slay and Rescue'. Then again, I'm not completely sure how comedic fantasies fit into everything for you OP.

I love them and want more of them! High Fantasy is taking itself way to seriously if you ask me (And I will check out those books you mentioned, thanks!)
