aaand this is why I was a fan of dragon age origins when it came out. holy shit, a fantasy game where the elves are either poor and servants and living in the ghettoes or racist bandits who think way too highly of themselves while they rob and killing humans? loved that

plus the dwarves had fantastic politics and infighting and weren't all hurr durr honor and ale. one of those rare stories where I actually loved their take on the traditional fantasy races a ton.
