(And no, it's not, say, triggering because it pairs a rapist with their victim or something. It's "I ship [non-canon] A/B, so if I EVER see [canon] B/C or A/D, I AM SO OPPRESSED."
Or responding to a request of "Hey, I see that [non-canon pairing] is really popular in [fandom]. Can anyone explain why? I don't hate it or anything, I just don't understand how it got so popular," with a 100% serious "Check your privilege! Fuck you for thinking that the oppressed minority fans of this pairing owe you an explanation. It's not my job to educate you!"
