Oh, she kicked such ass later in S1, especially in the mobster dons ep. If you haven't seen that one, you should see it. She turned an old trope on its head. There is some flashbacking on what makes Elias who he is, but I kind of enjoyed it. The ep is called Flesh and Blood.

And she's pursuing a line of investigation in S2 that looks like will put her in danger. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens with that thread.
