This is just how small/obscure/dead fandoms roll, I'm afraid. You have to be in it for yourself and not looking for reactions/feedback - there's a *reason* why these fandoms are small/obscure/dead, after all. If you don't feel like being the one to rally up the other five fans for your series, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

As long as you don't stop writing the story you enjoy so much, then no harm, no foul. Nobody ever said you must foist onto the world every single fic you write :)
