If the story's using some of the tropes associated with virginity (the virgin being super passive, relying on the other partner to do everything, being nervous and scared about the sex, wanting to do it just out of love rather than actually wanting sex too, etc) then yeah, I agree.

Though... that's not always what being a virgin means to people, and that's not always how it's written in fic, either? For some people, never having had an iron in their fire means they're really excited and curious about it! They might not know the details of exactly what to do with another person's genitals, or how to get into position, but virgins can still be enthusiastic, and virgins can still initiate the boning. And I don't think there's that much of a power difference in a situation like that.

"never having had an iron in their fire..."
Yeah, I snerked pretty hard at this. I may have to use this in the future. I'm sure the BF will find it as amusing as I did. :D I agree with you, though. All my knowledge came from books and such, but when it was time, it was TIME. So what if I wasn't sure what to do when and how, every cell in my body was waving the green flag yelling, "GO TIME!"

And now I'm seeing Mills Lane from Celebrity Death Match in my head going, "let's get it on!" and my poor BF isn't going to know why I'm laughing so hard at such an inappropriate time. :3
