I'm having a hard time imagining why creating backstories for your doll is more embarrassing than designing dolls in the first place.

Yeah, I mean, aren't you supposed to make stories for dolls? That is why kids play with them, right?

It's not that they're creating stories for their dolls, of course that's what they're for! I create dolls of my original characters frequently. It's that they're doing SERIALIZED stories in the little text boxes across several dolls. When I'm voting and randomly get page 5 of some 10 page mini epic, I've certainly never wanted to go to the beginning of the story told only in facial expressions and changes of clothing.

DollDivine has a story function, with some actual text formatting tools. It won't fix anyone's spelling or grammar, but it's better than the serial thing.
