As someone who comes from a fandom where one pairing is about 95% of the focus, I get the frustration. It sucks when you don't ship the pairing that everyone else does. It sucks when people who do ship that pairing ignore/bash/dismiss the pairings or characters you do like. But at the same time, people are going to ship what they want so the only thing you can really do is try to ignore it and/or avoid the fandom in general. If you can find a community devoted to or friends who also like the characters/pairings you do, just play in those areas and talk to those people.
