Oh, please DO tell me how. Because I've gotten panic attacks about once a month to as often as several times a week since I was born. Medication has made them less severe but I'm pretty sure there's no actual permanent cure for whatever is up with my brainmeats that makes me freak the shitcock out for either no foreseeable or avoidable reason.

And as for how to overcome panic attacks... I think you should speak to your doctor and/or mental health specialist, rather than someone over the internet. The OP's secret sort of threw that into sharp relief, right?
I was lucky in a lot of ways that my father also suffers from an anxiety disorder, so my parents knew what was going on almost right away. I've been practicing coping methods since I was very young. I still have them, but luckily the impact on my life has been minimized. It hasn't been easy and I have bad moments and steps backwards like anyone else, but I like to think I live a relatively normal life.
Good luck. <3
