i do this as well...if i know i have submitted something that week, when a new post comes up i scroll the page to see if my secret is there...if it's not, i continue to read and participate a bit

but if my secret IS there, i close the page and i don't return for a week...that way i'm not tempted to reply to current comments in a reactionary way...i end up reading the comments days later, and getting the full range of comments on my secret, not just the first one that popped up that i reacted to...does that make sense? unless you're trolling, i've found that there's always someone who replies and agrees with you

though i think i prefer what another anon suggested...make the secret, but don't post it until next submission
