I could understand if you were talking about the comic books, because they're going on for 50+ years and it's not new or surprising to anyone that a lot of ideas are rehashed and there's nothing new or original anymore…

But the MCU? Seriously? Captain America 2 sounds amazing, Avengers 2 too, and Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 sound like you typical action movies with tons of money to spend, which isn't too bad, and it's not like any of the previous movies were cinematic masterpieces that a few fun-action-flick movies will really dampen the entire experience.
