Ugh. You're kind of the one being disgusting here. :/

Secret poster isn't lying; they're just not being open about where their comics knowledge comes from, and that's a big difference. Also, while it's nice that you seem to stick to your principles and exist in your own separate little world, "getting along with your co-workers" is job security 101. Having common interests and making friends with people who can stick up for you when your back is turned or recommend you when specific jobs come up is only a good thing.

Also, a person's religion is far different from their hobbies. Don't compare the two, please.
