I once saw a clip of some American TV drama where there were supposedly two guys holding a conversation in "Finnish". Except it wasn't even an attempt at Finnish but some complete gibberish the actors came up with as they went. I know it's a pretty obscure language but whoa...

Yeah, I still remember the "Finnish" in Swordfish (the "Finnish" character did insist that Ikea was Swedish, though :D) I get that Finnish is difficult, but if you really want Finnish (or any other language, really) to be spoken on screen, it shouldn't be THAT hard to find a native speaker. And if you're determined to have your main characters speak a language not native to them, at least put some effort into it.
