Hah! Similar story: I tutor elementary school kids, and I was paired up with a young boy last spring who was giving me a bit of trouble until finally, one day, I altered one of his homework assignments (about narrative/order/chronology) to be about Captain America instead of Cinderella, and he was like, "O.O /You/ know about comics?" and then we became biffles for the rest of the semester. It was great. He was super cooperative and learned a lot and we both had fun as a result!

... and I never mentioned that 3/4 of my Cap knowledge comes from info gleaned to read Cap/Tony fic. xD
