Any other East Coaster getting ready for Sandy? We've got supplies ready jic, but I'm still pretty spooked. I know it'll miss my area of New York, but my friends are in the danger zone. So, I'm worried about them.

Me - I'm in Connecticut. I can't decide if waiting for it to come is actually worse than the actual storm or if it just feels that way. It's not supposed to get bad here until sometime between 9am and noon and it's only just 6:30am now. But I've got food and water in case the power goes out and books to read so I won't be bored.

I'm in NY myself, Albany, and gleefully predicting my evening class will be canceled. Or I hope so. If not I will be pretty pissed at the weather forecasters' scaremongering.

I'm in Maine so not sure we'll get the really harsh stuff, but we're prepared! I'm more worried about all my family in RI and friends in NC. I have a friend living pretty close to the ocean in NC and haven't heard from her yet.

We're gathering candles, there's some water stored in the fridge and we're pretty stocked up on some canned goods.

I'm also charging up our cellphones, backups... whatever I can do. :x I hope the storm is not too strong!
