(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)It used to get really ridiculous sometimes. I have this BFF who's a clever person, but not much into reading; they don't even know some famous stuff at all. And after every great book I read I would come to them and tell them everything about this book, my thoughts and feelings on it, cultural background, author's life et c. And they would listen. They must've had really great patience. Still don't now how they tolerated me back then... I did it even after "The Gulag Archipelago".
And now I fell in love with a series and do the recommendations thing, even though I know that nobody gives a fuck (it is a very, very obscure work). Hypocrite much?
